Responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) with leadership skills to join the team at Customer Portfolios. The SQL DBA will manage the company's existing and new Microsoft SQL Server implementations and growing Data Warehouse. This seasoned SQL DBA will have the opportunity to establish and implement best practices regarding data definition, data quality, data security, and data integration.
Specifically, the candidate selected for the position will be responsible for:
- Design, install, tune, maintain and monitor SQL Server databases, products and services; including, but not limited to, storage management, DB performance tuning, DB software debugging, backup and recovery, and change/configuration maintenance.
- Provides technical consulting in identifying, implementing and supporting new SQL Server database function
- Performs problem resolution and root cause analysis along with recommending and implementing preventive techniques.
- Monitor/maintain database performance and identify/recommend areas that can be improved
- Ensure the security/stability of the database servers by implementing applicable patches and maintaining appropriate security measures
- Develop and enforce organizational SQL standards and best practices
- Implement standardization of systems implementation, support techniques, change control, best practices, and total quality practices in all activities.
Qualification and Requirements:
- 5 years experience in the design, implementation and support of SQL Server 2000/2005 databases.
- Strong SQL Server database performance analysis and tuning skills.
- Expert in sizing, capacity planning, backup and recovery planning with solutions in SQL Server environments.
- Excellent analytical skills, the ability to integrate information from multiple sources to execute effectively and efficiently in a dynamic environment
- Ability to pursue a proactive approach to problem solving within a cohesive team environment
- Ability to mentor other team members
- SQL Server DBA and certifications a plus.
- Experience with ETL based tools and Star Schema data structures a plus!
Responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator with leadership skills to join the team at Customer Portfolios. The Systems Administrator will be responsible for the administration of all IT systems in a dynamic, entrepreneurial database marketing company. If you're looking for a lot of day-to-day variety, a high level of responsibility, job autonomy and a casual, fast paced work environment Customer Portfolios is the place for you.
Specifically, the candidate selected for the position will be responsible for:
- Install and manage internal networks, IP addresses, firewalls, routers, subnets and other connection and security components.
- Perform daily administration functions such as add/change users, backups, viral detection, performance tuning and other routines.
- Trouble-shoot LAN & wireless network
- Configuration and troubleshooting of mobile/wireless devices
- Ensure stability of network environment.
- Perform daily back-ups of network servers.
- Research software and tools to help increase productivity.
Our clients are typically in the retail, travel, QSR verticals. The Account Manager will be interacting with senior marketing executives and CXO’s.
Qualification and Requirements:
- In-depth knowledge of network hardware/software and protocols, Windows 2K3 & XP OS, and PC hardware/software.
- Knowledge of Databases: SQL 2000 & 2005
- Knowledge of Firewalls: Cisco and / or Checkpoint
- 3-5 years experience in Windows Systems Administration in a corporate environment
- Experience with Linux, CVSNT and / or MS Visual Source Safe, RealVNC and Winsshd are preferred.
- Knowledge of ETL Servers. (Automate 6 Professional, IQ8, Integration Architect or Web Intelligence) is a plus.
- Strong problem–solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and design optimal process solutions.
- The candidate must be independent & able to handle multiple projects at one time
- Candidate must be able to work with minimum supervision and have good communication skills.
- B.S in Information Technology or related discipline
Responsibilities:
The CP Account Manager will work directly with specific clients and be the point person on their day to day strategic and tactical needs. This position will be the liaison between the client and the Customer Portfolios business elements: analysis, execution, data and technology.
Specifically, the candidate selected for the position will be responsible for:
- Strategic planning with the client
- Articulating and planning client tactics, such as program execution, analysis, and data needs

This position will work very closely with all Marketing areas to implement efficient customer marketing communications across various channels, including email, web, telephone and direct mail. These promotions will center on customer conversion, customer retention, cross-sell, and win-back initiatives.
Specifically, the candidate selected for the position will be responsible for:
- Marketing Opportunity Analysis
- Campaign Measurement and Refinement
- Customer Segmentation
- List Management
The Marketing Analyst will play a role in presenting findings to our clients - senior marketing executives and CxOs. This individual will also provide analysis measuring the success of marketing campaigns and will oversee that future campaigns incorporate the knowledge gained from previous ones.
Qualification and Requirements:
- Minimum of a BS/BA in a related field: Marketing, Decision Sciences, Operations Research
- Excellent communication and quantitative skills, and ability to work independently.
- Relational database knowledge, including functional SQL skills

The Database Analyst is instrumental in assisting and providing marketing analysis measuring the success of a campaign, imparts findings that ensure future campaigns incorporate the knowledge gained from previous campaigns. This individual must have a technical understanding of campaign management software tools and will become expert in the Customer Portfolios methodology and our Advanced Analytical Schemas for Retail, Financial Services and Telecom.
Qualification and Requirements:
- Minimum of a BS/BA in a related field: Decision Sciences, Technology, Marketing
- Relational database, knowledge, including functional SQL skills
- Solid understanding of Business Intelligence tools, preferably Microsoft Reporting Services

Responsibilities:
The Data Engineer is responsible for the implementation of our data mart and customer analytics platform for marketing services clients. The Data Engineer is also responsible for the technical definition of migrating customer data to the data mart environment, providing platform, database and infrastructure design and implementation. The Data Engineer works closely with lead Data Architect to ensure that the solution satisfies business requirements.
This position requires an in-depth understanding of software/systems analysis, design and performance principles. This position requires capabilities in conceptual analysis, problem solving, data analysis and programming of technical and business information systems. In addition to a software development background, the successful applicant will have proficient experience with ETL based tools and Star Schema data structures.
Specifically, the candidate selected for the position will be responsible for:
- Technical Solutions Architecture:
- Perform business requirements analysis necessary to design and construct the technical architecture to support the solution. Technical architecture solutions consist of an operational data store, data warehouse, data marts and associated delivery mechanisms.
- Define and implement the architectural components including RDBMS, operating system platform, hardware and tools.
- Develop data requirements, data maps, transformation rules, and aggregation plans. Define strategies for data extraction, hygiene, acquisition, and loading.
- Work with the client and Data Architect to implement and continually
refine data load best practices. Support overall architecture through
operational processes. Recommend changes in development, maintenance
and system standards based upon best practice experience.
Ultimately, this individual will play a role in presenting findings to our clients - senior marketing executives and CxOs.
- Data Warehousing Implementation
- Ensure quality implementation by development and execution of detailed plans, delivery of operational best practices.
- Work with the client technical team on the definition and planning of system implementation and growth forecasting.
- Define and implement monitoring systems to perform load validation, to update and maintain metadata, and to ensure overall data integrity.
- Continually improve the capabilities, working with the best of breed solutions to develop and enhance delivery capabilities based on new technology.
- Collaborate with other data warehouse experts to maintain consistency
of architecture and best practices technology.
Qualification and Requirements:

- Desired skills include SQL, PL-SQL, T-SQL, Java, JCL, C, C++,
VB Script, Unix Shell, XML
- 3 plus years of data warehousing and business intelligence experience
- 5 plus years of practical work experience
- Technical BA/BS required, MBA a plus
